How to Upload Photos

While in Homescape, goto Maintenance, Update Listing. Type in the MLS# and click on the Upload Photos button at the bottom. This will open the Upload Photos page. Click on the Browse button next to each photo box and find your photo on your computer. Once located, highlight the photo that you are uploading and repeat this process for each photo to upload. When done, click on the Upload button at the bottom of the page. You will see the scroll bar at the bottom of the page as it displays the loading progress. If done correctly you will see your photos load into the boxes. This window can then be closed when complete with the Photo Upload.

The outside front view must be the first photo.

Any number of photos between 1-12 can be uploaded (12 maximum).

The photos should be in .jpeg/.jpg format and a preferred 640x480 size.

The combined size of a batch of photos uploaded in a single upload operation should not exceed 2Meg. If you have 12 photos to upload for a listing and the upload fails, try splitting the upload into 2 parts - part 1 with photos 1 - 6, and part 2 with photos 7 - 12. If your photos are very large you might want to just upload one or two at a time.

Be careful uploading because you will not be able to delete a photo (but you can override it). Request for deleted photos must be sent to photo technicians.

Photos uploaded should not include: People, phone number, address, website, name, date/time stamp, email address, caption.

If your photo requires cropping or adjustment in some way (crop out thumb or top of car window, date stamp removal, photos need lightened), choose -Send to the MLS Photo Technicians-. Your photos will be uploaded to photo technicians for modification and posting.

Please try to take your photos in the correct lighting.

Photo files that are not 640x480 will be resized and if the photo file is very different (i.e. wide panoramic picture) the end result after reformatting may look distorted.

Uploading photos turned sideways will show some distortion in Homescape, but most other sites will show the portrait style fine.

Photos are watermarked with the MLS logo to track any misuse of data.
